Cost effective production of complex geometric radiation shields

We developed an innovative fabrication process to cost effectively produce complex geometric radiation shields. Radiation shields often utilize materials that are difficult to manufacture and require significant labor costs. Our procedure improves upon a process that was already being used at ORNL to produce radiation shields for limited quantity runs. The improved process dramatically reduces the labor time required to produce higher quantity production runs.
