Brian Kolar

Mr. Kolar is an R & D staff member at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in the Building Technologies Research and Integration Center.  He is a professional engineer with a B.S in mechanical engineering and a M.S. in industrial engineering with a concentration in system optimization.  He now has 15 years’ experience with ORNL specializing in system design, operation and optimization.  His career started off drafting architectural engineering systems, then design, engineering, construction, operation, maintenance and commissioning.  Currently his work focus is on the design, construction, operation and data collection for systems related to the research of building energy, and performance of building equipment and components.​
