Chris R. Davis

Chris Davis has over 20 years of experience across the entire lifecycle of commercial and government software projects. For the last eight years he has led or managed engineering teams developing and deploying varieties of products for government customers from high performance image processing to automated red-team cybersecurity applications. He specializes leading engineering efforts in scientific software automation and frameworks for high performance computing, focusing on transitioning research into production environments. He has experience processing and analyzing data in multiple domains, including multispectral imagery, hyperspectral imagery, LiDAR, full motion video, geospatial datasets, cybersecurity, and finance. His current research at ORNL involves leading development and architecture of geospatial data foundational layers for a digital twin to visualize with NVIDIA Omniverse and leading the software engineering task for an LLM data lake project.
