Karen joined Oak Ridge National Lab in January 2023 as Administrative Assistant with the Energy Science and Technology Directorate.  Supporting Manufacturing Energy Efficiency Research Analysis Group and Chemical Process Scale-Up Group.  Prior to joining Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Karen is a highly motivated administrative professional with 10+ years of experience supporting complex operations in research, healthcare, and accounting environments. Recognized for reliability, accountability, and strong ownership of end‑to‑end workflows: scheduling and visitor coordination, procurement and accounts payable, travel and expense settlements, compliance documentation, and cross‑team collaboration. Trusted HSPD‑12 badge holder with a track record of improving processes, training peers, and delivering excellent service.

When not at work, Karen enjoys family time, traveling, playing the piano and church.
