This application is a Continuation In Part of Application No. 10/174,184 entitled MIXED OXIDE NANOPARTICLES AND APPARATUS FOR MAKING SAME, filed on June 18, 2002, which was a Continuation-In-Part of Application 09/428,376 filed on October 28, 1999, now U.S. Pat. No. 6,444,453, issued on September 3, 2002 entitled MIXED OXIDE NANOPARTICLES AND METHOD FOR MAKING, the entire disclosure of which is incorporated herein by reference. This invention relates to the field of inorganic synthesis. More particularly, this invention relates to a method for making fine particulates of ceramic powders, using anaerobic bacteria to reduce a starting mixed oxide composition from a higher to a lower oxidation state.
