Reconstruction Technique for Reflective Echo Tomography Imaging Using Phased Arrays

The idea behind coded apertures is that a known pattern (i.e., the coded mask) can be placed between the signal and the detector so that the signal generates a shadow of the coded mask at the detector named the shadowgram. If we assume that there is no object between the source and the detector and that the source is infinitely small (i.e., a pulse); then, the shadow at the detector will be an exact copy of the coded mask shifted by the angular deviation of the source from the optical axis of the detector.
