Method for Printing Low Density and Varying Density in Large Scale Additively Manufactured Polymer Structures

The invention related to additive manufacturing and more specifically to new methods for additively manufacturing of low density materials and varying density within a print. To this date, large scale additive manufacturing based on extrusion deposition (fused filament fabrication, fused deposition modeling) has been accomplished with polymers near or above the specific density of water. Significantly lighter materials can be printed using a method described in this invention. Additionally, the density of printed structure can be varied as necessary during printing.
