A new approach to encapsulate salt hydrate PCM materials

Salt hydrates are very good thermal energy storage materials. However, encapsulation of salt hydrates in order to avoid the escape of water molecules attached to salt hydrates and further enhance the heat transfer rate from the salt hydrates is a formidable challenge. In this invention, we are planning to-address this challenge by using a new encapsulation strategy. Additionally, this invention can also be applied to other PCM materials, so it is not restricted to only salt hydrates.
