Improved Anger Camera for neutron detection and imaging

We describe below an improved Anger camera for neutron detection and imaging. The new detector exhibits unmatched characteristics: These Silicon photomultiplier-based neutron detectors offer interesting and practical features such as compactness, low operating voltage, output uniformity, compactness, and low cost. Specific optical and electrical components are used to improve its overall performance which includes position and time resolution, higher counting rate, and overall detection capabilities. Other interesting features such the magnetic field insensitivity and better gamma discrimination are important in reflectometry and crystallography applications and could enable innovative avenues of research in pursuit of superior materials and understanding of biological processes involved in human diseases.
